Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer and singer. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of appearances in television shows that were popular and movies, she gained fame for her role in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. After her popularity, she was offered important parts in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. She also played leading parts in box office flops such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to produce positive results. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu has a lot of care when selecting her roles, so she's not a typecast. Liu is also an accomplished artist who has not been limited by her race.
